Magnesium–Sulphate is widely used in food and agriculture industries. Magnesium sulfate is highly soluble in water. Anhydrous magnesium sulfate is used as a drying agent readily absorbs water from the air. The anhydrous form is strongly hygroscopic, and can be used as a desiccant.
