DESCRIPTION

NEUTRAL HCF CLEANER is a heavy duty, water based tank cleaner, free from any hydrocarbon solvent. Its non–toxic, non–flammable and non–corrosive formulation makes it an ideal solution for removing all vegetable and animal fats and oils, and light mineral oils, dry or not. NEUTRAL HCF CLEANER is most suitable to use when strong alkaline cleaners are not recommended.

The application of NEUTRAL HCF CLEANER is recommended for Gas–Free Cleaning, when used after any hydrocarbon cleaning process. NEUTRAL HCF CLEANER eliminates odours and is cost effective, easy to handle and apply.

APPLICATION

NEUTRAL HCF CLEANER is extremely efficient to remove vegetable fats, animal fats and oils from epoxy and zinc-silicate coatings and from most metal surfaces (ferrous alloys, tin, zinc, aluminum and galvanized surfaces). On epoxy coatings, it is recommended that the product is used diluted. Hand-spray the product, after hydrocarbon cleaning processes, to achieve Gas–Free results.

USE AND DOSING

A prewashing of the tanks with fresh water at elevated temperature (60°C) is recommended, especially if non-drying residues are present. In all other cases, the tanks can be prewashed with fresh water at ambient temperature.

For recirculation, prepare a solution of about 5% or more of NEUTRAL HCF CLEANER in water and recirculate for about 6 hours. Best results are achieved at elevated temperatures (up to 60°C). Afterwards, rinse thoroughly with water.

If rock-and-roll method is applied, it is recommended that a solution of 2-4% is used. The tank should be filled to one third of its capacity, should be left to rock and after one day should be filled with more water. A few days later, the tank should be drained completely and rinsed thoroughly (if the tank is rinsed by filling with water, it should be refilled and redrained 2-3 times).

NEUTRAL HCF CLEANER can also be used by injection. In this case, prepare a solution of about 5% or more, inject directly and, when finished, rinse thoroughly with water.

When cleaning by hand spraying, apply undiluted NEUTRAL HCFCLEANER onto the surfaces, using spraying equipment, mops, brushes etc. Be sure that the surfaces are well soaked and leave for at least thirty minutes. Afterwards, rinse thoroughly with hot water (up to 60°C) for about an hour.

For Gas-Freeing purposes, first wash tanks using CHEMOTANK SUPER CLEANER or CHEMO DEGREASER HEAVY DUTY. Afterwards, rinse thoroughly with hot water (up to 60°C) and apply a 15-20% solution in fresh water of NEUTRAL HCF CLEANER on the surfaces when they are still hot and leave for at least thirty minutes. Finally, either rinse thoroughly with hot deionizer water or rinse thoroughly with fresh water steam tanks.
