SOLVENT BASED TANK CLEANER               |     

It is highly efficient in cleaning fuel tanks and/or ballast tanks with leaking fuel in dry load vessels.             

Area of Use:

Tank Shine is a solvent-based tank cleaner used in cleaning applications of petrol-based loads such as crude oil, base oil, diesel and fuel oil in cargo tanks. It is highly efficient in cleaning fuel tanks and/or ballast tanks with leaking fuel in dry load vessels.

Usage:

1- Circulation Method: Before washing with Tank Shine, a pre-washing at 50°C ensures a faster and more excellent cleaning. Solution level depends on dirt thickness and the number of tanks during circulation, however 5 up to 26 liter Tank Shine for each ton of feed-water is sufficient during circulation method.  Solution inside the tank is circulated for 6-10 hours at a temperature 10-15 degrees above the melting point of the load carried. Surfaces are rinsed with fresh water after application. Dirty solution after cleaning is not to be released to the sea. It should be transferred to the slop tank of the vessel or to the marine facility on land via a pump.  

2- Spraying Method: Tank Shine is directly sprayed to tank surfaces in concentrate form.  Make sure to diffuse the product equally to all surfaces. The product is left on the surface for 10-15 minutes for reaction. Syrfaces are rinsed with water after application.

3- Cleaning in the Sea: The vessel is trimmed by stern and filled with 25% water of the tank capacity. 1- 1,5 l product is transferred to tank through sounding pipes. If possible, tank is heated up to 50-50 C and cleaning is ensured by self-swinging for 24 hours. Tank level is increased up to 75% and 12-hour long swinging is enabled, then the tank is drained. Upon drainage, second stage is performed. The same application there is repeated with 0,75-1,25 l dosing per ton.

The product vapor is not to be inhaled and ingested. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor. Do not bring into contact with skin. In case of skin contact, wash your skin with water and soap. In case of eye contact, wash your eye with water. Consult a doctor if necessary.
